For the Classroom & Beyond!

I {franki} help at a monthly foster care meeting. While the foster parents are in a meeting, some friends and I plan crafts for the kids to do. This month I brought in our BOO BAT CROWNS and our FUN SPIDER CROWNS. The kids had a blast coloring them and wearing them home. It was simple and worked for all the ages that attended. If you are having a Halloween activity think about adding these to the agenda. Just another way our products can be used for the classroom and beyond!

                                                     Have a BOO-tiful day!!

An Apple for My Teacher

I wanted to give a unique THANK YOU to my little one's teachers, so this is what we did. We bought these plain caramel apples for $2.99
Then, I let the kids add sprinkles for a bit of fun. I always use a bowl so it contains the mess and allows me to pour the left overs back in the bottle so they aren't wasted.
I added our own cupcake holder to make the bottom a little prettier too. To help with cost, I used regular sandwich bags and cut the zip top off. I got ribbon from the dollar store to attach the notes.
For the notes I used our Candy Shoppe Borders and printed on card stock. I was able to print all I needed on one page.
After I cut them, I used this corner punch to round the edges which I think looks nicer.
Then I punched two holes in the card to add a bow. I pulled the ribbon through and tied a bow.
I use the "rabbit ears" method to make the perfect bow. To give the edges a nice finished touch, I cut a "V" out of the bottom of the ribbon. A simple trick is to fold the ribbon in half and cut a line up to the center. When the ribbon is open it will look super nice.
And here is the finished product my children gave to their teachers:
It took all of maybe 30 minutes from start to finish. I like giving opportunities for my kids to show appreciation and give thanks in a tangible way with a gift that teachers will enjoy. Although most of this was my effort, the kids enjoyed adding sprinkles, helping to punch the edges, and presenting the apples with a hug and a verbal "thank you" to their teacher. What do you think??
